AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca was pleased with his side’s 1-0 win over Verona in Serie A on Friday amid a difficult spell.

The Red and Black Devils scored the only goal from Tijani Reinders in the 56th minute of the game, helping the team to take home three important points after last week’s disappointing draw with Genoa, and the team has been dealing with injuries to several players.

“In the first half it was inevitable because we missed a lot of players and the last game we didn’t win, so we had a problem,” Fonseca told DAZN after the game.

“It’s true that we didn’t give Verona as many chances and had more possession, but we didn’t do well in the final third. We made too many mistakes, which is also due to a lack of confidence because we had the ball all the time near the penalty area and could have done better.”

“As I said, at the moment we have a lot of players who are not ready and with the current form. I am happy with Register ufabet the win, which is important. It was a well-deserved win. We kept a clean sheet and showed better stability in defence. We need to improve in attack but this period has affected our confidence.”
